design studio

Lano asked us for a feasibility study on how they could build their new offices inside their big production hall. Our proposal consisted of linking & stacking standard office units. Because the units are completely freestanding in the hall, they can be easily modified or extended. To attract sufficient daylight in the different places, a few concrete slabs were removed from the facade. Furthermore, the addition of the shed roof construction provides the office units with extra diffuse light. Besides the complete interior story, we offered a proposal on the accessibility of the site. The master plan is characterised by a separate system of freight and passenger traffic, surrounded by a subtile greenery experience in an industrial environment.
